I started working at TIDES in fall of 2020 and absolutely love my job. I strongly believe in creating equity in higher education; connecting students to experiential learning opportunities in the sciences through my work has been incredibly fulfilling so far! I’m grateful for all the mentorship the TIDES team has provided in helping me become an agent of change with the CNS community. After I graduate, I’m planning on getting my MPh in Nutrition and a PhD in Food/Materials Science to eventually work in the sustainable food R&D industry.

Hi! This is my first year working at TIDES and I am so excited to be a part of this team. I participated in the Women in Natural Sciences Program (WINS) my freshman year, and am currently in the Urban Ecosystems FRI Stream and the Texas Pre Dental Society. Clearly, I’m obsessed and captivated with applying science into my life, and I want to help you all do the same! I am also passionate about guiding others to explore what great opportunities the CNS community has to offer; you belong in this very space. After I graduate, I plan to attend Dental School to be a dentist to keep fueling my curiosity of science.

Hello! This is my first year working at TIDES. It is wonderful to be a part of a team that cares so deeply about helping students get involved in research! It is clear from a few months of working in this office that TIDES really is an advocate for students and actively works to alleviate the problems students face when trying to do research. In the spring of 2021, I participated in the pilot Nutrigenomics FRI studying the effects of artificial sweeteners on gut health. Currently, I hold a position working in a research study at Dell Children’s Hospital. After graduation, I plan to attend medical school to pursue a career in the service of others. I am a firm believer of helping students find the right fit for an experiential experience. If you have any questions about getting involved in research as a pre-medical student or just want to chat about the options available to you for experiential learning, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am excited to serve you all as a part of this team!
