FREQUENTLY visit your MyStatus page:
MyStatus is where you checked your application status and received your admissions decision.
This is your official campus resource and all university communications will be on your dashboard. Check it often to make sure that you do not miss any important notifications!
MyStatus will also inform you of important next steps to move forward with your enrollment at UT Austin such as how to:
- Accept your admission: This is the first step in moving forward with your enrollment including New Student Orientation and On-Campus Housing.
- Make plans to attend New Student Orientation: Orientation is mandatory for all entering freshman and highly recommended for external transfer students. If personal obligations require specific orientation dates, you should sign-up for a session as soon as possible. Sessions fill quickly on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Check your housing status: A complete admissions application is required to apply for housing. Students must accept their admission before receiving a housing contract.
- Check your financial aid status: You can check your MyStatus page for details.
academic Advisor assignments:
Whether you are a new student or a recently admitted student from another college at UT, you might be wondering, “Who is my advisor?”
Advisor assignments are typically made during the first two weeks of your first semester in the College of Natural Sciences.
You will meet remotely with an academic advisor during Orientation to discuss your first semester courses and registration.
