Requests for new employee hardware/software needs and office moves involving computer equipment, please submit no later than 2 weeks prior to the employee’s start date or office move. The more time/information supplied, the better the odds are all parties (facilities, IT, key department staff, etc) will be available to accommodate the need.
URGENT: Please note that Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Microsoft after Jan 2020 making it a huge risk on campus network. The university does not allow any device running an operating system that the original manufacturer no longer supports. If you wish to coordinate an upgrade from Windows 7 or have a machine that cannot be upgrades but must remain on the UT network, please submit a request via the help request form.
CHANGES TO EVENT SUPPORT: CNS IT AV support is not currently staged to provide dedicated support for events. We ask that you use the campus events team (https://facilitiesservices.utexas.edu/divisions/support/event-support-moving-services). These units are more than welcome to reach out to CNS IT via our help form if there is a need for network support or any other technical support required for the event.
