K-12 Education Outreach

The UT Graduate Science Outreach group facilitates the "Present your PhD thesis to a 12 year-old" program that places PhD students and scientists in K-12 classrooms to share their discoveries and provide real-world examples to complement classroom science topics.

The Shadow a Scientist summer program pairs middle school students (1-2 at a time) with UT-Austin research scientists for two-hour tours of the scientist's lab and experiments in progress.
