The December Professional Development Seminar for graduate students and postdocs will focus on research misconduct and research ethics, in general. For this seminar, we've assembled a panel of CNS faculty members to discuss case studies in scientific misconduct. Faculty participants will include Karen Browning (Molecular Biosciences), Stephen Martin (Chemistry), Dong-Ha Min (Marine Science) and Alex Huk (Neuroscience). This panel will respond to specific scenarios involving research misconduct, and will discuss PI responsibilities in these cases. Time may also be reserved for discipline-specific break-out groups for further discussion.
Attendance at this event counts for Responsible Conduct of Research certification.
Seminars are held in NHB 1.720, noon-1pm. Pizza and drinks will be served.
