What We Do
College of Natural Sciences Events provides strategic management of key events hosted by the College, and consulting and support services to College departments, faculty, and staff.
We produce major College events including the Texas Science Festival, Commencement and Staff Celebration. Other events in our calendar, such as the New Equations series, promote dialogue and innovation within the College itself, while Explore UT touches a broad range of constituencies that include alumni, parents, faculty, and both current and prospective students.
All of these events support and promote the University’s mission of excellence in research, education, and public service.
Getting Started
Consultation services are available for CNS department members planning events. If you are interested in a one-hour consultation with an event coordinator, please complete and submit the Events Consultation Form. Make sure you have a confirmed budget before submitting (it is nearly impossible for us to give you helpful advice and guidance if you do not know your budget). We offer a limited number of consultations each month, so please try to reach out to us well in advance of your event.
If you've had a consultation with us and are ready to begin planning your event, or if you are embarking on a DIY event, start with Events Strategy to build a strong foundation. Once you have your event purpose, audience, timeline, and budget, check out Planning Resources to dive into the essentials of any event: logistics!
