Looking to hear from you

Looking to hear from you

Dear students,

The end of the year is coming.  And while you all are working hard on ending the academic year on a strong note, the College is busy planning for next year (and years to come).  This can be harder than you might think. One of the major challenges is making sure that we hear from students.  Recently the College of Natural Sciences developed a Strategic Plan.  A key recommendation of the CNS Strategic Planning Task Force was to improve and expand communication within the College, a goal I strongly support. Over the last year, we have worked hard to communicate clearly with all our stakeholders, including students.  You hear regularly from me, but we are working on new ways to get your views back to college.
So as the year comes to an end, I would like to hear from you.  I want to know what is going well for students and what needs attention.  Your thoughts will help guide our efforts to enhance the student experience in the College.

The link above will take you to our annual Student Climate Survey.  It is designed to be anonymous and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.  While I know this is a busy time, we will benefit most if we hear everyone’s perceptions about the College.  Please take a moment to share your thoughts no later than Friday, May 8th.  Why wait?  Take the survey right now!

Thanks for your help in these efforts.  And keep up the hard work and finish the semester strong.

Best,
Dr. Vanden Bout

P.P.S.  As I’m out of science jokes, we’ll have a bad Avengers joke in honor of this week’s premier of Age of Ultron…
Q:  What do you get when you cross Captain America with The Hulk?
A: The Star-Spangled Banner!
