Genetic "editing" mimics the multi-pronged defenses of the drug cocktail.Sara Sawyer, assistant professor of molecular genetics and microbiology, co-authored a study that successfully blocked HIV from entering healthy cells in the laboratory. The Austin American-Stateman wrote about the achievement.
