Some Tips for Registration Time

Some Tips for Registration Time

It's nearly that time of semester again to register. Registration lands in the thick of the semester, when many of you are already juggling all of the things.

To help you through, here are some tips:

  • If you haven't already, make an appointment with your assigned academic advisor to discuss your plans for summer and fall.
  • Check your Registration Information Sheet for your registration access times, and to check on any bars you might need to clear before your first registration access time opens.
  • Run an updated Interactive Degree Audit to help you identify courses you should plan to take to fulfill your degree plan. Take any questions you have about your audit to your advising appointment.
  • Review the posted course schedules for summer and fall to plan your schedule options. Take any questions you have about course offerings to your advising appointment, and please note that courses listed as hybrid do require in-person attendance, so please plan accordingly.

Most of all, know that we are here to support you through registration. You may not have your ideal schedule set when registration closes, and that's okay. There will be lots of add/drop time over summer to make adjustments.

P.S. If you happen to be graduating this semester and not going through registration – congratulations! If you haven't yet, please complete your graduation application right away so we can ensure you are able to graduate.
