Dear Students,
The University of Texas is an amazing place that transforms lives every day. One of the things that makes it great is the amazing network of people who support our institution. The University relies on tuition, of course, and public dollars, too, but it also needs the generous donations of individuals around the state, the nation and the world to help support its mission and the many great things that make our campus what it is.
This week the University is having 40 Hours for the Forty Acres. I wanted everyone to be aware of this event and to show their support if they are able. For some, this might mean giving directly. For others, it might mean using social media to rally other people around a cause at UT that means a lot to you. Whatever you do, the 40 hours are a good time to step back and take note of all that goes into making a place like UT successful over so many years and to think about how you can help keep that tradition going.
