This message acknowledges President's Staff Awards, which is celebrated on campus in April 25.
Dear CNS Community,
On April 25th, the university will hold the 2019 President's Staff Awards. University-wide, over 900 staff this year will receive a service award – including 100 who serve right here in Natural Sciences. Among them, these CNS staff members have dedicated 1,795 years to advancing the mission of The University of Texas at Austin – and a third of that total is the result of service by just 18 people, who will be recognized by President Fenves for having served 30, 35, 40 or even 45 years here at UT!
Here in the College of Natural Sciences, we also are fortunate to have winners of the Outstanding Staff Awards at the President's Staff Awards. Jamey Pelfrey, from the Marine Science Institute, and Tan Thai, from the Department of Mathematics, will receive this prestigious recognition for their work as program coordinators.
Please join me in congratulating all of our outstanding and dedicated staff. I write both to celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of these individuals and to say thank you. Each person's unique contributions in advancing the university's core purpose of transforming lives for the benefit of society makes a difference. I know that all that happens daily to support our achievements in research, in education and in producing societal impact is the result of similar dedication and service across our college.
