This week, the Department of Computer Science launched a crowdfunding campaign to support emerging computer scientists.
Over fifteen years ago, Dr. Calvin Lin built the Turing Scholars Honors Program in order to create a tightknit community of up-and-coming computer scientists to foster lifelong success and friendships. In honor of his unwavering commitment to this program, former and current students, parents and colleagues are working to recognize his hard work and achievements through the creation of the Calvin Lin Turing Scholars Endowment.
Housed in the nation's highly ranked computer science department, the Turing Scholars Program is an honors program for outstanding Computer Science undergraduates. The program's mission is to provide a computer science education that is second to none. The program combines the advantages of a small college—small class sizes, close interaction with faculty, and honors housing—with the advantages of a large research university.
