This week is World Space Week, an international celebration of science and technology offering space education and outreach from educational institutions across the globe. Here are some upcoming events to help you celebrate:

●  The telescope on top of the Physics, Math and Astronomy (PMA) building on UT Austin's main campus offers free public viewings every Wednesday from 8-10 p.m.

● Painter Hall, also on UT Austin's main campus, holds free public telescope viewings on Friday and Saturday from 8-10 p.m.

●  Looking to get out of town? McDonald Observatory near Fort Davis, Texas holds Twilight and Star Parties on Friday at 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., respectively. To reserve tickets, click here. UT students receive a discount on ticket prices.

●  Astronomy on Tap, in Austin, Texas, is suitable for all ages and features informal science presentations on a variety of astronomy-related topics. Each event has trivia, prize giveaways, Astronomy in the News and interaction with the speaker and audience. UT Austin astronomers often participate. The next Astronomy on Tap event is October 22 at 7:30 p.m. at The North Door.
