Live Deep Sky Tour
Friday, May 22, 2020, 09:45pm - 10:45pm

Join the Department of Astronomy for live views of several deep-sky targets from the dark skies at McDonald Observatory, starting at 9:45pm Central time. Your host Stephen Hummel will show you views from a camera attached to a research-grade 16" telescope at the Frank N. Bash Visitors Center. It's galaxy season!

The targets, weather permitting, will be:
1. M63, or the "Sunflower Galaxy"
2. M94, or the "Cat's Eye Galaxy"
3. NGC 5364 (pictured in thumbnail)
4. NGC 3628, or the "Hamburger Galaxy"
5. Abell 1367, or the Leo Galaxy Cluster

Can't make the live stream? This event will be recorded and remain on the McDonald Observatory channel.

Hope for clear skies!
