Dr. Kevin Hall

“Calories, Carbs, or Quality? What matters most for weight control?”


Dr. Kevin Hall is from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. He is widely recognized for his research on energy balance adaptation to a variety of interventions. His work involves the development of mathematical models to quantitatively describe, explain, integrate, and predict fluctuations in body weight and body composition. He is the recipient of the NIH Director’s Award, the NIDDK Director’s Award, the Lilly Scientific Achievement Award from The Obesity Society, and the Guyton Award for Excellence in Integrative Physiology from the American Society of Physiology. Check out his award-winning Body Weight Planner, which has been used by millions of people to help predict how diet and physical activity dynamically interact to affect human body weight.
