National Periodic Table Day, celebrated annually on February 7, honors the first publication of the periodic table of elements 150 years ago this year. In addition, the United Nations has designated 2019 as the International Year of The Periodic Table of Chemical Elements.

This year’s event will feature explosive live chemistry demos from award-winning UT scientist Kate Biberdorf, periodic tables made out of cupcakes from Sugar Mama's Bakeshop and H-E-B, and free periodic tables.

Join us on The University of Texas at Austin's West Mall near the steps of the Main Building as we celebrate this important tool used by chemists and other scientists around the world.
