A night to celebrate the intersection of science and public engagement, Science In the Public Square is for members of the College of Natural Sciences community, alumni, and anyone who loves popular science.
- Enjoy science entertainment from the winner of the college's 2016 Science Outreach Award
- Hear from a panel of external science communicators evaluating the intersection of science, public discourse, media and art;
- Meet leading science communicators from Fun with Chemistry, Art.Science.Gallery, Astronomy on Tap, The Austin American-Statesman, and the PBS digital series It's OK to Be Smart; and
- Attend the unveiling and connect with the newly announced winners of 2016's Visualizing Science Contest.
- Win door prizes generously donated by Amoeba Sisters, Amy's Ice Creams, Bellwether Games, Boutique Academia, Copernicus Toys, Elbowfish, Evogeneao, Genius Games, Sci Chic, Science Ninjas, STEM Socks, and University Co-op.
