Using Your STEM Skills to Make a Social Impact
Tuesday, November 08, 2016, 06:00pm - 08:00pm

Just 1 in 4 fourth graders from low-income backgrounds are proficient in math, and just 1 in 6 proficient in science.  By 2018, eight million STEM jobs will be available in the US, but the vast majority of US students will be unprepared to fill them.

Join the Teach For America’s campus representative as you engage in an insightful conversation centered around the educational disparity of STEM education in our country. You will also learn about Teach For America’s Medical & Grad School partnerships and get to hear about Teach For America’s STEM Initiative which is changing the playing field for students growing up in low-income communities.
