The Department of Nutritional Sciences is proud to host two hometown heroes and record-setting athletes for a talk called “Swimming For The World.”

Ben Lecomte became the first man to swim across the Atlantic Ocean and will soon become the first to swim the Pacific Ocean. Joseph Schooling is a student and swimmer at the University of Texas who shot to international fame after winning the 100-meter butterfly at the 2016 Olympics, a victory that represents the first-ever gold medal for his home country of Singapore.
