FRI Information Session for Postdocs
Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 12:00pm - 12:45pm

POSTDOCS: Join us for coffee, sweet treats, and an overview of the Freshman Research Initiative (FRI), the largest single-institution undergraduate research program in the nation.  FRI started at UT Austin in 2005 and has grown to engage over 800 undergraduate students annually in faculty-lead research projects, in disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, astronomy, and math.  One of the keys to the FRI model is the Research Educator, a post-doctoral level researcher who coordinates the projects within each FRI group, or "stream."  We will discuss the program model, benefits for students and faculty, and ways to get involved in FRI.

Dr. Stacia Rodenbusch, Freshman Research Initiative Co-Director for Operations and Internal Relations, will be presenting and taking questions from postdocs.

Location: MBB 1.210
