The CNS Postdoc Association invites you to attend the Fall 2015 Business of Science Lecture. Dr. Spiros Liras, former UT-Austin postdoc and current VP of WorldWide Medicinal Chemistry at Pfizer, will give the lecture from 4:30-5:30pm, followed by a networking reception until 7:00pm. The title of his presentation is "Phosphodiesterase inhibitors for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders."

Dr. Liras is the head of Cardiovascular, Metabolic and Endocrine diseases medicinal chemistry, a position he has held since 2008. Prior to this appointment, he was Pfizer's Senior Director of Neuroscience medicinal chemistry where he worked in the areas of addiction, schizophrenia and neurodegenerative disorders.

The lecture and reception will be held in the Texas Union Santa Rita Suite, Room 3.502. This event is open to Central Texas area life sciences professionals, as well as UT-Austin grad students, postdocs, faculty members and research professionals. Garage parking passes are available for those traveling to campus specifically for this event.
