Our February Grad Student/Postdoc Professional Development event will be a Science Policy lecture on Tuesday, February 17th, from noon-1pm. Dr. Kirstin Matthews from Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy will speak about the role of scientists in public policy and potential careers in science policy. Dr. Matthews is a UT College of Natural Sciences alumna (BA Biochemistry) who earned a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
