Denise Dodd is the Administrative Manager in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. She has been with UT since 2016 when she arrived in Austin after leaving her rural Northern California hometown pulling a truck and trailer with no idea where she would end up. Denise spent the first 6/12 years, first with the Health Disparities unit, then with the Department of Population Health at the Dell Medical School. Denise is also an artist and has had numerous shows around Austin prior to 2020. Her interests include travel, helping family and friends, reading and gardening. She is starting Graduate School in Fall 2023, working on her Masters in Higher Education Leadership. She is always up for an adventure which can include a weekend of binge watching Masterpiece Theatre on PBS or a road trip out to Garner State Park, but life is not meant to be boring.
