Research Interests

Kim’s research interests revolve around the quantitative and qualitative examination on the impact of cultural stressors on Latinx youths’, young adults’, and parents’ mental health, and further, how this unfolds within context (e.g., family context). Additionally, Kim is interested in the role of Latinx youths’, young adults’, and parents’ coping resources and strategies in the relation between experiences of cultural stressors and their mental health . Lastly, Kim aims to translate her quantitative and qualitative research findings to inform the development of culturally-sensitive preventative interventions among Latinx populations.
