Emily Javan
Postdoctoral Fellow
Department of Integrative Biology-
I am a PhD candidate in Dr. Lauren Meyers’ lab and member of the UT COVID-19 Modeling Consortium. I am broadly interested in disease spread within and between human and animal populations, as well as how vaccination and wildlife management can prevent epidemics. Currently, I am focused on hospital choice and length of stay for COVID-19 patients in Texas. I have also completed a rotation in with Dr. Vagheesh Narasimhan in population genetics. I received my BS in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity from UC Davis and an MS in Population and Conservation Biology from Texas State University. In my free time I love roller skating and origami.
