Cheryl began her teaching/training career at California State University Northridge as a graduate student. Most of her primary career positions have been managerial and administrative, but she has always found a way to teach as an adjunct instructor. This passion for teaching and training helped inspire her mission statement: “To inspire positive change through teaching, coaching, and training.”

Before joining UT, Cheryl served as the Director of Learning and Development Training for student services at Texas A&M-San Antonio, where she developed and conducted leadership programs training for students and staff. She has extensive experience working with and delivering content from top training companies. She is certified to teach the following leadership offerings by FranklinCovey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People; The 7 Habits of Highly Effective College Students: Presentation Advantage: Meeting Advantage: Writing Advantage: Great Leaders, Great Teams, Great Results: and Project Management Essentials for the Unofficial Project Manager. She is also certified to teach The Leadership Challenge and Certified as Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach. Mrs. Le Gras has years of teaching experience in 2-year and 4-year institutions of higher learning.

Cheryl graduated Cum Laude from Liberty University with an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; she graduated Cum Laude from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education. Her Master of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, TV, and Film are from California State University Northridge.
