I am a Ph.D. student leveraging ancient DNA and centuries-old corals to study distant timescale genetic changes in reefs-
I started at UT in fall 2019 after graduating from the Univeristy of Idaho with a B.S. in Applied Math & Biology. Here, I broadly study how corals respond to climate change. I do this through two lenses - first, using ancient DNA to enlighten genetic change in corals at distant timescales, and second, creating mathematical models of coral bleaching. When I'm not in the lab, you can find me rock climbing out at Reimer's Ranch!
