I am a seasoned professional in the field of visual communications with experience in creative direction, content strategy, staff supervision, project management, art direction and design. I currently serve as visual lead on a communications team at UT Austin, collaborating with content creators and developers on projects promoting science, mathematics and engineering.

As a visual designer, I appreciate the power of patterns, hierarchies and systematic order. As an experimentalist, I embrace the unexpected connections discovered by research and inquiry. As a team leader, I nurture the talent and potential of each team member. And finally, as a member of our community, I strive to make an impact as a responsible design practitioner.

My professional work and personal research have been recognized in design publications such as Print Magazine, by the UT System Chancellor’s Office, and showcased in academic textbooks — most recently Typographic Design: Form and Communication (2014, 2018).
